Background
In each classroom at the Child Development Lab, teachers create anecdotal records to track children's development in seven developmental areas: fine motor, large motor, language, creative, social, cognitive, and emotional. The children range from six weeks to five years. We focus on two groups in this module.
1) infants and toddlers
(2) two years old and preschoolers
An anecdotal record is a component of each child's portfolio, which is used to document their development during their time at CDL. These records are shared with teachers and parents. This learning module aims to teach you how to ultimately create professional anecdotal records.
